Cash Caboose Slots

Cash Caboose Slots is is a low budget old West game that looks like crap but plays fairly well. The graphics are lower budget than some of the old Newgrounds work, and everything about the presentation leaves a lot to be desired, but we still had a decent go of things despite all that. We didn’t thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent with it, mostly wishing that they’d gotten better art or ripped some off or anything really to make this game look a little better.

Those issues aside, if you want a solid entry in the genre that pays well and plays well, you can do a lot worse than Cash Caboose Slots. We still recommend everybody give it a try to judge for themselves, so hop on over and give it a ride. Let us know what you think when you do!

Premise of Cash Caboose Slots

The premise of Cash Caboose Slots is the old West and trains and money and such. It’s a fitting theme despite now being largely alien to most people. It has money coming out of the steam pipes and in general looks pretty nice on the ideas from, it’s everything else that tends to hold the entire experience back the longer you spend with it.

Presentation in Cash Caboose Slots

Graphics in Cash Caboose Slots are pretty bad. Everything is crisp, clear, colorful, and compelling to look at, which makes your time spent playing all the easier because of how easy they are on the eyes. The quality, however, is about as low as it comes. We guess it’d be lower if it was in black and white, but that’s about it. Some graphics, such as the titular Caboose, look okay, but then you get the conductor and cacti and it all falls apart.

The background in particular looks really bad, as does the logo. We can hardly read the logo, which is how you know that it’s really bad.

Gameplay Mechanics in Cash Caboose Slots

Gameplay in Cash Caboose Slots is standard as well, which makes it a notch above the graphics. At 5 reels and 25 pay lines, it does not break the mold there, chosing instead to keep things classy in ways we can respect.

Betting here ranges from a penny to $10, making this an accessible slot that anyone can jump into in hopes of winning a lot of money without worrying about necessarily breaking the bank in the process. Max bets cap out at $250, which tends to be how we rolled when we played it a bunch for our review.

The bonus round is replaced by a Free Spins feature, which we’re okay with because that’s how all that tends to end up anyway. They’ll call things this and that, and it’s all back to free spins and jackpots and multipliers.
